“My sons, 9 years old and 7 years old are Japanese and have learned English at ‘Better English’. They could not speak English at all except their name and age when they started to learn. In our case, the boys always had lessons together. Although their learning speeds were different, the teacher was able to teach and explain things to them by changing the level of difficulty so that both boys were able to understand. Learning was carried out through playing card games and throwing a ball etc.., therefore my sons always had a fun time. Mark is a great teacher and he deserves my big thanks for helping my son. Mark started working with my son when he was 10. My son was transitioning to a traditional elementary school to a European school. He lost 3 years of English in the elementary school compared to the students in the European school. At BW primary school, French is a compulsory second language. They started with presence learning which switched to Skype learning during the covid period. My personal feeling is that face-to-face teaching is less demanding. Mark taught my son for 4 years.
